In St. Vincent's capital, Kingstown, you will find local produce markets, vending stalls, souvenirs, boutiques and duty free shopping.
Shops in St. Vincent tend to open at around 8 am and close at 4 pm. On Saturdays most of our shops close at 1 pm and very few are open on Sundays.
St. Vincent’s currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar though the US Dollar is also widely accepted. There are several banks with ATMs in Kingstown. Credit cards are accepted in the majority of hotels, boutiques and restaurants.
There is a 15% Value Added tax (VAT) on most goods and services and a 10% government tax at hotels.
